Welcome to my ’Identity Editorialis’ a short archive of my ego, consisting of photographic autoretratos [self portraits] and durational performance.

When I begun practicing photography, the ‘shoot’ become a conduit testing physical and mental adaptability of body, persona and mind, a way to study the movement and stillness of ‘self’. I begun to documenting my own body, the perceived ‘container’ of consciousness. I had commodified my body through commercial modelling, identifying with only what was perceived to be desirable by the industry.

Photography was my way of ritually making visible changes within my psyche and re-dressing my young, vulnerable self up for battle in the world.

This ‘profiled’ series of selves are an acts of healing and protest against both algorythmic, social and self censorship. An ode to what we omit. Temporary and permanent injuries, disease, psychological conditions and trauma. It is creative, a messy, honest, dress-up box processing of life experience.

An open diary of body + mind + environment and shadows.
